 At REINS, we use the word "rescue" carefully, as it is often is over/misused, for emotional impact. Instead, we choose  "partnership" with working ranches (cattle/sheep ranches) and commercial outfits (dude ranches, carriage companies, and even police forces), who's economic impact to the USA is in excess of $100B annually.  

We provide a retirement outlet for equines no longer able to keep up with the demands of their "day job" due to age and degree of lameness from years of hard work.  

Our partnership provides our Humans with highly trained, and safe, equines for their emotional journey.  And our partnership also provides our Horses a safe landing, away from auction houses (and subsequently, the potential of entering the kill pen pipeline), while we match them to their forever retirement home.

*REINS provides our retired working equines with the vet care, medication and corrective farrier services needed for them to comfortably partner with our Humans.  When an equine is re-homed, REINS follows up to ensure proper care is maintained throughout their retirement days.
